The Wylfings End of Summer Update
After a busy spring the crew at Wylfings has been enjoying the summer sun, but in August we've gotten back to work to present new titles as well as a YouTube channel, with more to come in the fall! In this newsletter we provide a recap of the month’s updates
Today we have released Chort Hydroponics. This titan of a work gathers the essays and stories of three contemporary Russian right-wing philosophers who agree on almost nothing—yet agree on enough to render a fractal of thought on the other side of today’s iron curtain. Across essays that move from the simple and direct to the ambiguous and arcane, this book ranges over ancient, 19th-century, and modern European and Russian traditions. These writings were originally never meant to be translated. Drawn from conversations between Russian philosophers and their readers, they are now rendered in English for the first time.
Chort Hydroponics also comes with independent photography and 32 unique pieces of art by @SI_Smith.
The final entry of the Richard Hilton series was released at the beginning of August. The Indian Mutiny, a Centenary History tells the story of The Indian Mutiny, a massive but ultimately unsuccessful uprising against the rule of the British East Company in 1857. On the 100th anniversary of the Mutiny, in 1957, despite the admonishments of the British War Office NOT to commemorate the occasion, British officers, historians and journalists would still mark the occasion in their own way. The Indian Mutiny, a Centenary History provides an invaluable resource for those wishing to understand the conflict, and British rule in India as a whole, without pandering to modern biases.
Fans of Scyldings Events will be happy to see two new Scyldings Events conference books. Generations contains the speeches of last year’s Witan conference. Scyldings’ fifth annual conference in the UK comes with contributions from speakers such as Ed Dutton, Carl Benjamin, and Josh Ferme.
Charting Terra Nullius, meanwhile summarizes the speeches of Scyldings Events’ inaugural conference in Australia, the First Fleet Forum, held for the first time in 2025. This book contains contributions from Survive the Jive, Carl Benjamin, Harry Richardson and many more, as they seek to answer questions at the core of Australia’s politics, identity, and future.

An upcoming title: At the end of September we will be releasing a new title in collaboration with the Pendragon Foundation. Sir Charles Oman (1860–1946) remains one of the finest scholars of medieval warfare. Writing in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Oman’s pioneering use of sources and vivid battle reconstructions revolutionized the study of military conflict in the Middle East. Essays on Medieval Warfare will bring Oman’s magnum opus The Art of War in the Middle-Ages back into print. This, in addition to a number of Oman’s essays and speeches presented in the same volume, will provide the reader with new perspectives on the middle ages.
We started a YouTube Channel: Earlier in August we started a YouTube channel! We have started by uploading narrations of some of the works we publish. Those of you who prefer to interact with audio content can listen to two short stories (with much more to come). One of them, Fellow Passengers on the Pogo, has never been published online in any format until now. In the coming months there will be more announcements on the audio-visual front, but in the meantime, as the kids might say, don’t forget to like and subscribe!
